Thanksgiving Volunteering

November 24, 2013 1:30 PM-5:00 PM
Join us as we celebrate Thanksgiving with newly arrived refugee families at HIAS PA's 5th Annual Refugee Thanksgiving on the Sunday before the holiday. Welcome almost 200 of Philadelphia's newcomers as they first experience this uniquely American tradition! Share food, music and dance from around the world.

As volunteers, we will each:
- Bring a dish (store-bought or homemade) which serves 8 people. Bonus points for bringing a dish which reflects your own culture or ethnicity!
- Help set up, clean up, and coordinate children's activities, as assigned on the day of the event

Thanks a million to Repair The World: Philadelphia who connected us with this opportunity. If you're interested in volunteering more often, contact them!

Please RSVP, as it's important that they know how many volunteers to expect!
