For my family, keeping kosher has never been on the table, so to speak, and I doubt it ever will be.


In the middle of his own present season, my Jewish kid with the Hebrew name drew a picture of Christmas for my husband. 


After years of resisting, I allowed relatives to buy my boys iPod Touches for Chanukah. Unfortunately, these devices didn't come with directions on teaching children how to live with and without them.
