YETTA KARLIN (nee SOLOMON), January 8, 1927-February 16, 2014. A longtime Philadelphia resident, she died peacefully at Jeanes Hospital. She was the daughter of immigrants and raised in Philadelphia, where she made a home with her husband Morris, taking pleasure in raising 2 successful children, DR. MARSHA BRITTON (ROBERT BRITTON) and DR. PAUL S. KARLIN (DAWN KARLIN). From them, they were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. YETTA worked side by side with her husband to provide for a better life and opportunities for her children. She loved traveling to Atlantic City with her sister Pearl to play the slots. She possessed a sharp wit, was an avid lover of movies, chocolate, coffee, Coca Cola, and Simon Baker. She is survived by her daughter, MARSHA; son, PAUL; sister, PEARL WILDER; her lovely grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will keep her memory alive. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in her remembrance as directed donation to Jeanes Hospital, c/o Dr. Paul Karlin, 7600 Central Avenue, Phila, PA 19111.
