Barbara Greenberg, who headed Congregation Adath Jeshurun preschool’s special needs program since 1995, died suddenly at home, at age 63, on Jan. 30, leaving friends, family — nearly everyone who knew her — stunned. The synagogue will honor her on Nov. 10.

The 27-acre Mandell Education Campus has been considered a linchpin of the Old York Road corridor Jewish community since 1985. But the population has declined and some have expressed concerns about what might happen to the property.
