The Philadelphia Independence Network, a program of JEVS Human Services is hosting a symposium – Transition to Independence: A Model for Young Adults with Disabilities. Join us as our expert panel addresses socialization, life style, safety and employment challenges faced by young adults with disabilities as they prepare to take on the challenges of living more independent lives. Learn about PIN, a supported independent living community where young adults with disabilities are overcoming these challenges.
Our panel includes Dr Natan Gottesman, a licensed psychologist working with young adults with disabilities; Ryan Hammond, Executive Director of the Kinney Center at St Joseph’s University; Amy McCann, Director of Carousel Connections, a supportive summer residential environment that promotes further development of "transition-related" skills and independence; Joe Cipolla, Director of Employer Services at JEVS; Marnisha Henry, Program Director for PIN and Jake Udell, a PIN participant.
