Wine and Romance - the Evocative Images of Viktor Shvaiko and Thomas Stiltz

August 29, 2014 7:00 PM

Two exceptional artists come together for an extraordinary Labor Day exhibition at Jewish owned Gallery - Ocean Galleries: Viktor Shvaiko and Thomas Stiltz

Having grown up surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness, Shvaiko developed a penchant for painting little cafes and other intimate places, which have become his trademark.

Stiltz uses an old world technique of applying many layers of glazed oil paint, which gives color intensity and depth to  wonderful visions that express the pleasures of sight, taste, sound, smell, and touch.

Meet the artists at receptions 7 PM-10 PM Fri, Aug 29, Sat, Aug 30, & Sun, Aug 31.

Despite the oncoming horrors of the Holocaust, Gilbert and Eleanor Kraus bravely traveled into the heart of the Nazi empire in an effort to save innocent lives. Their unlikely mission would turn an ordinary American couple into extraordinary heroes. Their incredible story has never been told...until now.    Special guest, holocaust survivor and one of the 50 children rescued, Kurt Herman, will be at the movie screening for a question and answer session.    All ticket sales benefit Almond Branch Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humanitarian aid to the state of Israel.
