Rabbi Howard Bogot begins a new series: Revelation: Dictation, Inspiration or Intuition?

Conversational theism, inspiration, tribal survival, caprice and intuition are all descriptions that could profile the role of revelation as the origin of Judaism. Did God “speak” to Moses? Do moderns receive divine messages? Is revelation complete or progressive? Are Jews chosen or choosing? Seminar participants will consider the components that are hallmarks of the narrated moment in which the Jewish people received Torah.
