URJ Introduction to Judaism Classes at Mainline Reform Temple are open to anyone interested in exploring Judaism. The couse, taught by the synagogue's clergy, offers a basic foundation in Judaism, in weekly sessions over 4 months (Mondays from January 23-April 24).  Participants will learn about Jewish history, traditions, holidays, prayers and life cycle ceremonies. You will gain familiarity with the symbols, liturgy, music, traditions and Hebrew blessings that accompany Jewish celebrations in the home and synagogue. The class is open to individuals and couples. Couples are encouraged to enroll together. Individuals are welcome to invite a friend or family member to support their learning. There is no additional charge to register as a couple. Fees are $275 per individual/couple or $180 per individual/couple that is a member of a URJ synagogue.
