Profile

Deborah has been working at the Exponent since fall 2010, starting out as a staff writer before working on the development of the Exponent's new website and becoming the director of digital media.

Prior to the Exponent, Deborah worked at daily newspapers including the Charlotte Observer in North Carolina and the Courier-Post in South Jersey. She took a six-month break in the middle of those jobs to move to Mexico for a Rotary International Cultural Ambassador fellowship.

She earned her bachelors and masters degrees from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

Outside of journalism, Deborah keeps more than busy as a dance and fitness instructor. Philadelphia Magazine recently honored her as one of 16 local "Health Heroes" and ranked her business, Philly Dance Fitness, in its "Best of Philly" awards.
