Come to Federation’s Main Event

The Jewish Federation of Greater Phila­delphia will recognize 15 of its past presidents at Federation’s Main Event on Tuesday evening, Nov. 5, at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue.

On this special evening our community will come together to collectively recognize the stellar commitment and achievements

of Bennett L. Aaron, Andrea B. Adelman, Leonard Barrack, Michael R. Belman, Alan E. Casnoff, Sylvan M. Cohen, z”l, Morris A. Kravitz, z”l, Edward H. Rosen, Ronald Rubin, Miriam A. Schneirov, Theodore H. Seidenberg, z”l, Philip S. Seltzer, z”l, Beryl D. Simonson, Joseph Smukler, z”l and I. Jerome Stern, z”l.

Following a tribute to these community leaders, Ben Stein, comedian, actor, writer and provocative commentator on political and economic issues, will take center stage to entertain us with his legendary wit and humor.

The event chairs are Sara and Jay Minkoff and Ellyn Golder Saft and Stephen Saft.

Event vice chairs are Beth and David Blum, Caroline and Keith Joffe, Sharon and Paul Kaliner, Arlyn and Bob Landow, Sara and Adam Laver, Joe Levine, Katie Greenbaum and Phil Neff and Marlene and Norman Zarwin.

The program will begin with a dinner reception for leadership donors (minimum household Federation Campaign gift of $10,000) at 4:45 p.m., featuring a special appearance by Ben Stein, followed by a gala community-wide dessert reception (minimum individual Federation Campaign gift of $500 or a household gift of $1,000) beginning at 7 p.m. The dessert reception will feature the tribute to past presidents and the performance by Ben Stein.
