Griddle Me This: Where Can You Get a Great Kosher Burger on the Main Line?
Arts/Culture editor Greg Salisbury will be guest-blogging for the next two weeks
It looks like Citron and Rose is about to get some kosher company on Montgomery Avenue. Burger.org, which has quickly grown from its initial outpost on South Street to include locations in Center City, Elkins Park, and Margate and Cherry Hill in New Jersey, will be opening its newest spot in Narberth. Co-owner Eyal Aranya says that the restaurant, situated in the former Dairy Queen space at 942 Montgomery Ave. (no phone number as of this posting), "should be open in two to three weeks — we’re just waiting on permits.”
Aranya says that the restaurant will feature waitress service and will be very similar in menu and feel to the Burger.org in Elkins Park. That means that in addition to the glatt kosher burgers made from ground chuck, you can tuck into variations made with fish, lamb, chicken, turkey and veggies.
“We’ve been looking on the Main Line for a long time,” Aranya says. “It’s a good area for us. People are calling us all the time, asking ‘When are you opening, when are you opening?!’ They’re very anxious to have us over there.”
