Yet More Tough Social Issues in Israel

A 4-session class at Germantown Jewish Centre

Beginning Sunday, October 13 from 10 AM – 12 Noon (and running through Nov. 3)

Join GJC’s Rabbis Zeff & lewis for the third installment of this class, which examines complex issues in Israeli society that are often pushed to the background by news of conflict.  Primary source materials and guest speakers will help us gain insight into such issues as new state support of liberal rabbis, the social welfare policies of the newly-elected Yesh Atid party, and the proposed demolition of Bedouin settlements.  Prepare to rethink assumptions and engage with these difficult issues together.  Those who have taken the previous years’ classes and new students are welcome! Advanced registration and payment necessary, $60 for GJC members and $80 for non-members.

For more information, contact [email protected] or 215-844-1507 X 19.
