Cantor Eliot and Karen Vogel of Penn Valley announce the engagement of their daughter, Adina Ruth Vogel, to Yonatan Ayalon, son of Shula Ayalon and Tzofar Ayalon of Kibbutz Givat Brenner, Israel.
Adina is a graduate of Bos-ton University and holds a Master of the Arts degree in conflict resolution and mediation. She currently works at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa, Israel.
Yonatan works at one of Israel’s leading start-up companies, Conduit Ltd., as a senior front-end developer, with six years of experience in Israel’s high-tech industry.
Adina is the granddaughter of Charles and Ginette Mizrahi of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Elaine Vogel and the late David Vogel of Bloomfield, Conn. Yonatan is the grandson of Yair and Yona Madar of Gannei Yochanan, Israel; and the late Bat-Sheva and Yaakov Ayalon, two of the founders of Kibbutz Givat Brenner.
Sharing in the simcha are the couple’s siblings, Alisa and Davida Vogel, and Tamar and Yifat Ayalon.
Adina and Yonatan met while she was spending her junior year abroad at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The couple, who lives on Kibbutz Givat Brenner with their beloved dogs, Nina and Golda, is planning a June wedding at Har Zion Temple in Penn Valley, and a July reception on the kibbutz.
