VISIONS IN THE NIGHT: JUDAISM AND DREAMS

VISIONS IN THE NIGHT: JUDAISM AND DREAMS

Rabbi Howard Avrum Addison - Presenter

Seven Monday Nights

October 14 -- November 11, 2013 7:30-9:30 pm

The prophet Joel foresaw a time when God’s spirit would be manifest among us, when men and women, young and old would dream dreams and see visions. Yet, despite having a rich tradition of dream interpretation, modern Judaism has given little credence to the role dreams can play in our spiritual lives. Drawing upon Jewish tradition and the insights of modern psychology we will investigate how dreams can help reveal the movement of the divine within us. In both personal and group settings we will explore to how illogical or even frightening dream images can lead us to wholeness.
