THE ENNEAGRAM AND KABBALAH
CAST IN GOD’S IMAGE
Presented by Rabbi Howard Avruhm Addison
Mondays, May 6, 13, 20, 2013 from 7:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
Although the Bible teaches that we are all created in God’s image, we differ radically from each other. Kabbalah teaches that these personality differences derive, in part, from the fact that each of our souls finds its root in one of the facets of God’s personality (sefirot) located on the Tree of Life (Etz Chayim). Synthesizing the insights of the nine-pointed Enneagram system of personality with the ancient wisdom of Kabbalah we will explore how our own special traits can serve as gateways to spiritual growth. Through self-reflection, small group exercises and examples drawn from popular culture we will explore how our relationships with others, the Holy and ourselves are intimately tied to the divine root our souls.
