The Butterfly Project- A play by Celeste Raspanti
Join us Tuesday, March 19th at 7:30 p.m. at Beaumont Retirement Community for 'The Butterfly Project'.
More than 15,000 children passed through Terezin Concentration Camp during the Holocaust; less than 100 survived. Wolf Performing Arts Center honors the memory of these children through The Butterfly Project with a touring production of the play, I Never Saw Another Butterfly by Celeste Raspanti, based on the book of the same name which contains artwork and poetry by the children of Terezin.
The play will be presented FREE OF CHARGE at Beaumont at 601 N. Ithan Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010. Audiences will discuss the performance with the cast, speak with survivors and liberators, and create one of the 15,000 hand-crafted butterflies being collected throughout the duration of the project; each butterfly in honor of one child who passed through Terezin.
Directions at http://www.beaumontretirement.com. Play will be in the 'Beaumont Room'.
