In the world of food, it is an exciting time to be living in Philadelphia. Between mutiple James Beard Award winners and a locally-based Iron Chef, it's safe to say that we’ve long outgrown our "cheesesteak" status.

So, it’s fitting that our recent accomplishments be documented in a bound cookbook: Philadelphia Chef’s Table: Extraordinary Recipes from the City of Brotherly Love by April White.

Eat and support a nonprofit organization at the same time! The Friendship Circle of Philadelphia Region-North has enlisted several of the area's finest chefs to face off in an inagural "Bubby’s Cook-Off" competition on Jan. 23.

As always, with a new year comes resolutions to work harder, get in shape, eat better... For some of us, it feels like resolution repeat year after year. But what if this year could be different?
