Ted Martin, Equality Pennsylvania Executive Director to Speak

LGBT Civil Rights, Marriage Equality and Our Advocacy
We welcome Ted Martin, Executive Director of Equality Pennsylvania, the state’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) political advocacy organization to Rodeph Shalom on Wednesday, June 5 at 5pm.   Martin began his career as a Legislative Assistant and the Deputy Chief of Staff of a subcommittee of the Education and Labor Committee of the US House of Representatives. Subsequently he worked in the field of architectural preservation, communications and marketing.   In 2011, Martin was named a Person of the Year by the Philadelphia Gay News.  He and his husband, Dwayne, reside in Camp Hill outside of Harrisburg and were married on June 19, 2008 in La Jolla, California.  (See page 2 for information about Equality Pennsylvania.)
