Rabbi Ellen and Dr. Steven Bernhardt of Wilmington, Del.; Dr. Samuel Romirowsky and Karen Pinsky of Garnet Valley; and Reva and Paul Gajer of Roslyn, N.Y., announce the engagement of their children, Elana (Lonni) Romirowsky and Joshua Gajer.
Lonni graduated from Akiba Hebrew Academy and the University of Maryland Scholars Program with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She is currently the director of marketing and communications for a synagogue and Jewish day school.
Joshua graduated from Solomon Schechter High School of Long Island and Columbia University with a bachelor’s degree in history. He subsequently earned a Juris Doctorate from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and is currently a criminal prosecutor for the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney.
Lonni and Josh both attended Camp Ramah. Lonni spent many summers at Camp Ramah in the Poconos, and Josh attended Camp Ramah in the Berkshires.
Lonni is the granddaughter of the late Rosalyn and Herman Gordon of Coconut Creek, Fla.; and Blanche Romirowsky and the late Rabbi J. Harold Romi-rowsky of Philadelphia. Joshua is the grandson of the late Miriam Krakinowski and Morris Krakinowski of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; and Malvina and Israel Gajer of Delray Beach, Fla.
The couple, who lives in Miami, is planning an April wedding in Atlantic City.
