Public Schools in Crisis: Striving for Educational Justice

January 18, 2014 1:00 PM

As part of our annual Ralph Granger Memorial Shabbat program we invite panelists Donna Cooper, Executive Director of PCCY (Public Citizens for Children & Youth); Dalya Hahn, GJC Member and Central High School Student; and Rhonda Brownstein, Executive Director of the Education Law Center to discuss: How the current crisis came about? What is full and fair funding and why is it crucial for Philadelphia and our entire state? How does a strong public school system effect our city and suburbs? How do budget cuts effect the every day lives of students? And what can we do to help? For more information, contact program@germantownjewishcentre.org or 215-844-1507 X 19.
