Take 20 minutes out of your Sunday and support the history of Jewish Basketball in Philadelphia.

Come out to the corner of Broad and Wood streets in downtown Philadelphia for the dedication of an official Pennsylvania Historical Marker, commemorating the famous South Philadelphia Hebrew Association Basketball club, commonly known as the SPHAS.

The dedication will be at the former site of the Broadwood Hotel where the SPHAS spent many seasons playing.

For more information, please go to the website [3] of the author of the book 'The SPHAS - The Life and Times of Basketball's Greatest Jewish Team'.

The marker will look like the Zoo Marker pictured below.
