Location
Is your son or daughter a 6th or 7th grade student who is preparing for Bar/Bat Mitzvah?
My Philly Mitzvah Project is a new program for 11-13 year olds who want to participate in well supervised service projects prior to their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. There are opening and closing programs and seven different community locations to choose from for a variety of Mitzvah experiences between March and May. These projects include baking and bringing mini-challahs to senior citizens, packing boxes at a local food distribution center, packing essentials in another warehouse to be sent to children in need as well as helping to prepare a community vegetable garden for the summer. All arrangements taken care of for you and assistance will be provided for a personal presentation of the project. There is a one-time registration fee of $50.00 which includes the opening and closing programs and each service experience session is $5.00.
