Federation’s 4th annual Jewish Heritage Night at Citizens Bank Park was a memorable evening filled with great music, delicious kosher food, pregame and on-field entertainment and much, much more. It was an opportunity for our Jewish community to celebrate the joys of being together before the summer vacation season begins.
Fans entering the gates were treated to music by Klezmer Klassics and the Odessa Klezmer Band. Staff from the National Museum of American Jewish History were at both gates, talking up their special new exhibit, “Chasing Dreams: Baseball and Becoming American.”
This was Sherrie Savett’s final opportunity to lob the first pitch to the Phillie Phanatic in her role as Federation president. Incoming President Bernard “Bud” Newman is already in training for next year’s event. New Federation CEO Naomi Adler had an opportunity to mix and mingle with fans in the stands and to dance the hora along with Savett and members of Moishe House.
Despite the Phillies' disappointing loss to the Mets, a phenomenal time was had by all.
