BRCA mutations are found in people of different ethnic groups. However, 1 in 40 individuals of Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry carries a BRCA mutation. During this free educational program moderated by CBS3/CW Philly 57’s Stephanie Stahl, Dr.Susan M. Domchek of the University of Pennsylvania’s Basser Research Centerfor BRCA will help you
- learn who is at risk for carrying a BRCA gene mutation.
- understand the process of genetic counseling and testing.
- discover the criteria for, and insurance coverage of, genetic testing.
- develop strategies for talking about genetic risk and test results with family
