As the chagim approach, we are experiencing a plethora of transitions in our local institutions. Change is inevitable in both our personal and communal lives. But that doesn’t make it easy. As the saying goes: “The only people who like change are wet babies.”

I want to propose a model that can help bridge the gap between Israel and the Diaspora. If tikkun olam is the way to the hearts of young Jews, Israel should generate opportunities for Diaspora Jews who are seeking self-realization via humanitarian activities.
