Chuck Finder and Darien Zimmerman Finder of Wynne­wood will be honored by the Federation Early Learning Services for their commitment and dedication to the agency, at FELS’ upcoming 24th annual Love Our Kids Gala.
 
Through their support of the Men’s Cabinet’s Service Learning project of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, David Reibstein, Bob Landow and Keith Joffe organized a fundraising campaign that brought in $10,000 earmarked for Camp Harlam. The funds will go to build a new Gaga Court at the Reform Jewish summer camp, located in Kunkle­town, Pa. 
 
The Scoop on Breasts: A Plastic Surgeon Busts the Myths has scooped up 10 book awards for its authors, Dr. Ted Eisenberg and Joyce K. Eisenberg, including Grand Prize/Nonfiction in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. The husband and wife will host a signing on May 30 in New York at Book­Expo America.
 
Poet David Rosenberg of Princeton University, where he is a visiting lecturer in the field of creative writing, has just been named a Guggenheim Fellow 2013. He says he will use the award to complete his work on A Life in a Poem: Memoir of a Rebellious Bible Translator, possibly revisiting Jerusalem, where he lived and worked during the ’80s on biblical translation.
 
Attorney Joel Berman has been honored by Philadelphia VIP as Volunteer of the Month for his pro bono commitment to helping small-business owners in Chinatown.
 
Laurence Steinberg of Temple University, where his titles are Distinguished University Professor and Laura H. Carnell Professor of Psychology, has another credit to add to his bio: He has been elected a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
