‘One Book Mishkan’ in conjunction with the  One Book, One Jewish Community series, presents a

dramatic presentation of  Sister Hills from the highly lauded collection of shorts stories What We Talk

About When We Talk About Anne Frank by Nathan Englander

Lighting, costumes, music and more bring  Nathan Englander’s deceptively powerful story, Sister Hills,

to life as the  Mishkan Players transform the story into a dramatic presentation. This story recounts the

history of Israel’s settlements through the story of two women and a terrible pact made to ensure the

survival of a child.

Join us for a great evening of storytelling, drama and discussion, and nosh as we explore one of Israel’s

most contentious and pressing issues.

Mishkan Shalom partners with the city-wide  One Book, One Jewish Community (OBOJC) Program:

A national model for community building and Jewish literacy, the OBOJC program has touched thousands

of individuals throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.
