Dear Miriam,

I'm planning my outfit for an interview. Some of my shirts have, let's say, faint stains, but they'd be covered up by a jacket during the interview. Even without the jacket, they're faint. But, even if nobody else knows, I know they're there. Should I spend money on new shirts? It really feels psychological -- and a waste of money. If I could just get over the idea that my white shirts aren't perfectly white... What do you think -- any words of advice for me to get over it?

Dear Readers,

As a busy working mom involved in lots of community projects and still trying to have a social life and sleep occasionally, I'm struggling to prioritize my time and get to everything. I was trying to imagine what kind of advice someone would give me, or alternatively, what kind of advice I would give someone like me. So as I work to answer my own question, hopefully it will be helpful to you, too!

The plain fact is that it's impossible to get everything done. I probably never could do everything, but now, with a baby and the ugly face of sleep...

Dear Miriam,

I'm a college junior totally stressing right now in the middle of finals. Most of my friends aren't stressed out because they're turning in papers they already wrote for other classes or sharing papers with each other so they each only have to do some of the work. Some people are just copying (or buying) papers from online. This happens all the time, and I don't know anyone who's gotten caught, so I'm really tempted to take the easy option this time. What counts as plagiarism?
