Dear Saving,

Save the date cards provide your family and friends with information; invitations request information from them. Trying to combine the two would, I suspect, be confusing for your guests and probably wouldn't get you accurate enough information this...

My understanding of the generation prior to mine is that it was pretty typical for Jews to graduate from college, get married soon after and then join a synagogue and maybe also a JCC as a young married couple.  Now, there's commonly a gap of several years between graduating and starting a family, and many young adults expect...

Dear Miriam,

I have a friend who always appears to have a surly expression on her face. I know her to be a kind, interesting person, even a happy person, but for some reason she often looks annoyed. I know she wants to make new friends, get out and date more, but I think her facial expressions are holding her back. Is there any way I can talk to her about this?
