Jackie and Marvin Zeiger of Bensalem, and Susan and Thomas Wetjen of Rego Park, N.Y.,  are thrilled to announce the engagement of their children, Shara Ashley Zeiger and Jonathan Wetjen.

    Shara graduated from Bensalem High School and Ithaca College, where she earned a degree in drama.  She is also an alum of The National Theater Institute and The Upright Citizens Brigade.  Shara is currently working in New York as an actor and is the artistic director of The Platform Group, and Off-Broadway Theatre Company.

    Jonathan graduated from The High School of Art and Design in New York and Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in industrial design.  He is currently the head product designer at Durable Machinery in New York.  Jonathan also is a director at the Welcome Table Soup Kitchen at St. Francis Xavier in New York City.

    Shara  is the granddaughter of the late Lillian and Joseph (Tex) Keller, and the late Helen and Louis Zeiger. Jonathan is the grandson of Doris and Marcus Wittenberg, the late Jean Wittenberg, and the late Gertrude and Charles Wetjen.

    Sharing in the couple's happiness are Shara's sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Rissi, and their children, Maia Caroline and Lennon James, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends on both sides. 

    The couple currently livse in New York City.  They are planning a May 2014 wedding in New York City.
