Ellen Comroe-Snyder of Holland and Steven Sherman of Northeast Philadelphia, along with Jeanne Weisblatt and Eliot Silverstone of Richboro, announce the engagement of their children, Jeremy Ross Weisblatt and Marissa Sherman.  

    Marissa graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Applied Developmental Psychology and a Masters in Social Work.  She recently completed a post graduate certificate in Non-Profit Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and currently works at Barrack Hebrew Academy.

    Jeremy graduated from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State with degrees in International Politics, Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies and Jewish Studies.  He is currently pursuing Rabbinic Ordination at Hebrew Union College in New York City, and will be ordained as a Rabbi in May 2014.  He is the incoming Rabbinic Intern at Old York Road Temple Beth Am.

    Jeremy is the son of the late Rabbi Jeffrey Joseph Weisblatt.  He is the grandson of Barbara Weisblatt and the late Herbert Weisblatt, and the late Sandra and Irving Rosen.  Marissa is the granddaughter of Barbara and David Casper, Steve Comroe, and Sara and Ezra Sherman.  

    Sharing in the couples' happiness are Marissa's brother Brandon and Jeremy's siblings Marin, Evan and Ely.  The couple were introduced by their brothers Brandon and Evan, who are best friends.

    The couple, who reside in Philadelphia, are planning a June 2014 wedding.
