Dorothy and Richard Singer of Dresher announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Rachel, to Simon Alexander Eventov, son of Luba Eventov of New York City and Alexander Eventov of Natick, Mass., both formerly of St. Petersburg, Russia.

    Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in art with a concentration in graphics, fashion and sculpture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She designs handbags with a specialty in prints and embellishments for Betsey Johnson in New York City.

    Originally from St. Petersburg, Simon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems from Rutgers University. He also holds an MBA in technology, innovation and quality management from Pace University. After 12 years in the systems engineering department at Instinet, Simon has taken a new position as a data center design specialist at Align in New York City.

    Sharing in the couple's happiness are Stephanie's sister, Jennifer Singer; and Simon's siblings, Dmitry, Jennifer, David and Temma Eventov, along with nephews Benjamin and Josh Eventov.

    Stephanie is the granddaughter of the late Jeanette and Harry Singer, Belle Feldman Slaff and Jacob Feldman. Simon is the grandson of Gabriel Eventov and the late Simon Eventov, Asya and Misha Sukhobokov.

    The couple, who lives in New York City, got engaged this past June overlooking the Dead Sea in Israel.

    They are planning a May wedding in New York City.
