Janet and Gilad Gevaryahu of Merion Station announce the engagement of their son, Reuven Zev Gevaryahu, to Dena Pichette, daughter of Barbara and Dean Pichette of Southfield, Mich.

    Dena graduated summa cum laude from Wayne State University in Detroit, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Dena works in the biotechnology industry in Willow Grove.

    Reuven graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and engineering, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewish studies. He also holds a master's degree in computer engineering from Villanova University. Reuven is a software engineer in Conshohocken.

    Reuven is the grandson of Chana Gevaryahu of Jerusalem and the late Professor Haim Moshe Itzhak Gevaryahu, and the late Morris and Anne Marshall. Dena is the granddaughter of Molly Belen of Southfield, Mich., and the late Dr. Maier Belen; and Ruth Pichette of Highland, Mich., and the late Dr. Walton Pichette.

    Reuven and Dena, both members of the Penn Hillel community, are planning a spring wedding in Dearborn, Mich.

    The couple plans to live in Lower Merion.
