Alan and Marlene Oretsky of Philadelphia announce the marriage of their daughter, Melissa Joy, to Jonathan Muskin, son of Dr. Herbert and Sherry Muskin of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Jericho, N.Y.

    The beachside ceremony and reception took place on May 14 at the Bayer Estate in Honolulu.

    Rabbi Peter B. Schaktman of Temple Emanu-El in Honolulu officiated.

    Sherri Singer-Stacho and Sa-rah Lawentmann Chesney were the matrons of honor. Jennifer Popovich was a bridesmaid.

    Joel Peller served as the best man, and Joaquin Trigueros was a groomsman.

    Sherri Singer-Stacho and Joel Peller witnessed the signing of the ketubah.

    Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. A senior associate in the commercial litigation group at Reed Smith LLP in Philadelphia, she practices complex commercial litigation and pharmaceutical liability litigation.

    Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University and a law degree from the John Marshall Law School. He also earned an LLM degree with honors in intellectual property law from the John Marshall Law School and a master's degree from American University in computer science. Jonathan is a founding partner of Muskin & Cusick LLC, in Lansdale, where he practices intellectual property law.

    Melissa is the granddaughter of Doris Oretsky and the late Philip Oretsky, and the late Carolyn and Joseph Feldman. Jonathan is the grandson of the late Louis and Leona Goldberg, and the late Hyman and May Muskin.

    The couple, who lives in Center City, honeymooned on the Hawaiian islands of Maui, Big Island and Kauai. They also celebrated their wedding with a reception in Philadelphia.
