Megan Rebecca Kinnear, the daughter of Mrs. Beth Kinnear of Norfolk, Va., and the late Capt. Neil Kinnear, and Louis Richard Lessig, son of Dr. Faith Lessig of Elberon, N.J., and Dr. and Mrs. Harry J. Lessig of Huntingdon Valley, announce their engagement.
Megan, a graduate of Maury High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Mary Washington College and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Virginia. She is completing work toward a Master of Science degree in nursing at the University of Pennsylvania to become a pediatric oncology nurse practitioner. Megan is presently employed as a registered nurse on the oncology unit at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Louis, a graduate of the Montclair Kimberly Academy, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in human-resource administration, with a concentration in entrepreneurial studies, from Muhlenbeg College. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Widener University School of Law in Delaware. Louis is a labor and employment attorney at Brown & Connery, LLP, in Westmont, N.J.
Megan is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Murray Pikelny of Norfolk, and the late Mr. and Mrs. N.T. Kinnear of Brooksville, Fla. Louis is the grandson of Mrs. Grace Robinson and the late A.W. Robinson of Chatham, N.J.; and the late Dr. and Mrs. Philip M. Lessig of Waterford Works, N.J.
The couple is planning a May wedding at Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk.
