Dr. Barry and Beth Evans of Voorhees and Margate, N.J.; Lynn Feuerman of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; and Alan and Sharon Kaplan of West Bloomfield, Mich., announce the engagement of their children, Adam Stuart Evans and Leslie Ann Kaplan.

    Leslie graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. She also holds a Master of Science degree in childhood education from the Metropolitan College of New York. A board-certified licensed teacher in the state of New York, Leslie teaches kindergarten at the Solomon Schechter School: East Midwood Hebrew Day School in Brooklyn.

    Adam is an honors graduate of Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and economics. He also earned an MD-MBA at Jefferson Medical College-Widener University in Philadelphia. Adam is completing an anesthesia residency at the New York Presbyterian-Cornell-Weill medical center. He plans to begin a fellowship in adult critical care at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center this summer.

    Adam is the grandson of Ruth Evans and the late Jack Evans of Wynnewood; and the late Mildred and Michael Asch of Elizabeth, N.J. Leslie is the granddaughter of Marion Feuerman of Los Angeles; Rosita and George Feuerman of Boca Raton, Fla.; and Leah Kaplan of Southfield, Mich., and the late Seymour Kaplan.

    Joining in their happiness are Adam's sister, Samantha and her fiancé, Andy; and Leslie's sisters and brothers-in-laws, Amy and David Ingber, Julie and John Steffes, and Lori and Taal Ashmann, along with nieces Ariana, Sydney, Ava and Ella, and nephews Brandon, Ian and Ethan.

    The couple is planning an August wedding at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in Manhattan.
