Randall Gross of Huntingdon Valley and Susan Freedman of Langhorne announce the engagement of their daughter, Manya (Melanie) Gross, to Amiel Tuvia Monson, son of Rabbi Michael A. Monson of West Orange, N.J., and Dr. Rela Mintz Geffen of Philadelphia, formerly of Baltimore.

    Ms. Gross, a travel consultant at Gil Travel, teaches in the religious school of Beth Sholom Congregation, and will lead the United Synagogue Youth (USY) group at Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel this year. A graduate of Neshaminy High School, she is a student at Bucks County Community College.

    Mr. Monson, who is the program director for Maccabi USA/ Sports for Israel, will be teaching in the high school of BZBI. He also leads the USY group at Adath Jeshurun Congregation, as well as teaches in their Hebrew high school. A graduate of Akiba Hebrew Academy, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and double master degrees in Jewish studies and Jewish education from Gratz College.

    Grandparents of the bride are Edyce Feldscher and the late Alan Feldscher, and Marilyn Gross and the late Milton Gross. Grandparents of the groom are the late Leo and Lillian Monson, and the late Rabbi Joel S. and Sylvia Mintz Geffen.

    The couple is planning a June wedding.
