Norman and Myrna Grolnick, and Beth and Jeffrey Fisher of Cherry Hill, N.J., announce the engagement of their children, Allison Jodi Grolnick and Brent Fisher.
Allison graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She also graduated from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She is a resident in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, where she will serve as chief resident next year.
Brent graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, and a concentration in law and society. He spent four years playing professional basketball in Israel and Portugal before completing work toward a master's degree in management of sports industries from the University of New Haven. He is employed by the National Football League in New York City.
Allison is the granddaughter of Philip Grolnick and the late Mill Grolnick of Cherry Hill, and the late Mildred and Sidney Volov of Philadelphia.
Brent is the grandson of Cynthia and Norman Rosen of Voorhees, N.J.; and the late Lorraine and Bernie Fisher.
The couple, who lives in Manhattan, is planning a December wedding in New Jersey.
