Peter and JoAnn Friedman of Ambler, and Stephen Baer and Nancy Baron-Baer of Bryn Mawr announce the engagement of their children, Stacey Blair Friedman and Joshua Phillip Baer.
    Stacey, a graduate of Upper Dublin High School, earned an undergraduate degree from Penn State University and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She is currently a pediatric occupational therapist at the NYU Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in Manhattan.
    Joshua is a graduate of Lower Merion High School. He graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis. Joshua is currently pursuing a master’s degree from the New York University Stern School of Business.
    Sharing in the happiness are Stacey’s brother-in-law and sister, Dr. Michael and Bonnie Silverberg; and Joshua’s sisters, Alyssa and Jessica Baer.
    Stacey is the granddaughter of Harvey and Gloria Friedman of Boynton Beach, Fla., formerly of Cheltenham; and the late Bernard and the late Harriet Goldstein of Wyncote. Joshua is the grandson of Daniel and Ronnie Baer of Phoenixville, and Elaine Baron of Wilkes-Barre and the late Irving Baron.
    The couple, who lives in Manhattan, is planning a summer 2013 wedding.
