Dr. Joel and Judy Eisner of Phoenixville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Eisner, to David Najarian, son of Dr. James and Marjorie Najarian of Randolph, N.J.

    Lauren graduated from Akiba Hebrew Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and women's studies from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating magna cum laude. She also earned a master's degree in teaching English from Teachers College, Columbia University. Lauren teaches middle-school English at the Rodeph Sholom School in Manhattan.

    David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology with highest honors and highest distinction from the University of Michigan, as well as a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Virginia. He completed a residency in dermatology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and a fellowship in Mohs surgery at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. David founded a dermatology practice in his hometown of Randolph, N.J. He also works as an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

    Lauren is the granddaughter of the late Maurice and Rhea Asher of Melrose Park; and the late Jerry and Marge Eisner of Pottstown. David is the grandson of Dr. Leo and Joyce Lewin of Mount Arlington, N.J.; and the late Stephen and Alice Najarian of Demarest, N.J.

    The couple, who will be living in Morristown, N.J., is planning an Aug. 1 wedding in Philadelphia.
