Shelly and Bruce Boimel of Cheltenham, and Eunice and Eric Gottlieb of Huntingdon Valley announce the engagement of their children, Pamela Jennie Boimel and Richard Hale Gottlieb.

    Pamela is a magna cum laude graduate of the Pennoni Honors College at Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree in bioscience and biotechnology, and a minor in Judaic studies. She is currently a second-year medical student pursuing both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York City.

    Richard is a graduate of Drexel University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems and technology. He is currently a project manager with EMC Corporation in Conshohocken.

    Pamela is the granddaughter of the late Sylvia and Abraham Boimel, and the late Florence and Louis Gordon.

    She is also the adopted granddaughter of the late Edith and Bill Kassel through the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's "Joy" program.

    Richard is the grandson of the late Naomi and Louis Freedman, and the late Sylvia and Edward Gottlieb.

    The couple is planning a May 2008 wedding.
