Harris T. Bock of Philadelphia and Marice Barnett Bock of Bryn Mawr announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexis Dana Bock, to Jeremy Stanton Robbins, son of Dr. Mark S. Robbins of Tampa, Fla., and Lois Robbins of Elkins Park.
Alexis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewish studies from American University in Washington, D.C., and completed a dual master's degree in Jewish communal service and nonprofit management at Brandeis University. She works as a senior planning associate at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
Jeremy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and politics from the University of Maryland and completed a Juris Doctorate at New York Law School. He works as an assistant state's attorney for Prince George's County, Md.
Alexis is the granddaughter of the late Rose and Charles Bock, and the late Rosalie and Alfred Barnett. Jeremy is the grandson of Helene Robbins and the late Dr. William S. Robbins, and Eleanor Blumberg and the late Melvin Polak.
The couple currently lives in Washington, D.C., and is planning a summer 2009 wedding.
