Janice Lynn Shore and Geoffrey Alan Berg were married on Sept. 2 at the St. Regis Hotel.

    The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Rabbi Brian Strauss of Congregation Beth Yeshurun. A reception and dinner and dancing immediately followed.

    The bride is the daughter of Nancy Shore of Philadelphia, and the granddaughter of Ann and Morris Shore, and Edith and John Kotz of Philadelphia.

    The groom is the son of David Berg and Dayle Blake of Houston, and the grandson of Nathan and Mildred Berg, and Leon and Gertrude Black, all of Houston.

    The bride was given in marriage by and escorted to the chupah by her mother. Elisa Shore, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor.

    The groom was preceded down the aisle by his parents and step-mother, Kathryn Berg. Gabriel Berg, brother of the groom, was best man.

    Seated at places of honor were the bride's stepfather, Alan Romisher, and the groom's godmother, Ruth Barnett.

    The groom's sister, Caitlin Berg, served as junior bridesmaid. Rachel Melman was the flower girl, and Noah Melman was the ring bearer.

    Janice, who grew up in Philadelphia, graduated from Columbia University, where she was on the Dean's List. She expects to receive a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center in May.

    Geoff grew up in Houston and graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy High School in Michigan, and then New York University. In 1994, he earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Geoff is a founding partner of the Houston law firm of Dow Golub Berg & Beverly, LLP.

    The couple will live in Houston.
