Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moore congratulate their daughter, Dr. Amy Michele Moore, who earned a Ph.D. in couple and family therapy from Drexel University in June.
Dr. Moore attended Syracuse University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a certificate in gerontology. She also holds a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from MCP Hahnemann University, College of Nursing and Health Professions. In 2001, she was the recipient of the Outstanding Student Award in recognition of overall academic and clinical excellence. She was also elected to the MCP Hahnemann University Chapter of the Alpha Eta Society.
An adjunct faculty member at the Camden County Community College, Dr. Moore teaches sociology of the family and introduction to sociology, and holds licenses in the state of New Jersey in marriage and family therapy and professional counseling. She works for the behavioral health practice, Center for Family Guidance in Woodbury, N.J. She also maintains a private practice in Marlton, N.J., where she specializes in working with children, adolescents and families with a variety of behavioral and emotional difficulties.
