As we have a tradition that the Mashiach will be born on a Tisha B’Av, we have the opportunity to consider what we may do to remedy the sins of our past in order to merit the complete redemption of the future.

A census of U.S. day school students during the 2008-09 academic year found a 2.5 percent drop in non-Orthodox enrollment over the previous five years, even as overall Jewish day school enrollment in the United States grew 11 percent, driven in part by the growth in the Orthodox population.
