High school and college students interning at local Jewish agencies briefly put the greater good aside to compete against one another in the JEVS Human Services brand of "The Amazing Race."

The students were given clues that guided them around the city and outskirts of Philadelphia including Redding Terminal Market, Love Park and City Hall. Participants were interning in the Franklin C. Ash Summer Internship Program, for undergraduate students interested in gaining a greater understanding of Judaism while working at community agencies and the Lasko College Prep Program, where students receive SAT tutoring services and work at Jewish community agencies

Rhoda Cohen, JEVS coordinator of community relations, said in an email that the race was intended to help students get to know Philadelphia and one another better.

The winners were, in first place, Corey Cohen and his mentee, David Geron-Neubauer; in second place, Talya Greenblatt and her mentee, Matthew Weiner; and in third place,  Sam Crystal and his mentees Micah Burton and Daniel Farage.
