DORA JACOBS (nee DUCHOVNAY) on May 7, 2014 at age 92. Born in Romania, she channeled her keen intellect, strength of will, and boundless energy to achieve the American dream. She graduated Overbrook High, winning a scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania where she studied education, later earning her MA as well. In 1942 she married her beloved BERNIE (BERNARD L. JACOBS who died in 2011), and they were a fabulous team for more than 68 years. They moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1972 and led a life of travel, culture and non-stop activity with a wide circle of friends and family. They created a Yiddish story-telling act and performed throughout the Phoenix area. For 36 years they designed unique annual holiday cards that surprised and delighted thousands of recipients. DORA touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and generosity. She is survived by daughters LYNNE JACOBS (ALAN SILVERBLATT) of Philadelphia and TERRI KEVILLE (THOMAS) of Los Angeles. Also survived by sister CLARA STANDER, brother ABRAHAM DUCHOVNAY, 4 grandsons, one great-grandson, many nieces and nephews.
