ISENBERG

ELIZABETH "BETTY" ISENBERG (nee Beckman), of King of Prussia, formerly of Elkins Park, died at the age of 96 on October 25, 2013.  She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Meyerhoff Isenberg for almost 71 years, devoted mother of Betty London (Jack), loving grandmother of Joan London (Walter Diener) and Susan Kraus (Jonathan), and dear great-grandmother of Emily and Melissa Kraus.  Betty was the daughter of Pearle Bacharach Beckman and Eugene S. Beckman of Atlantic City.  She was the granddaughter of Benjamin Bacharach, President of the Chelsea Bank, and the niece of Mayor Harry Bacharach and long-time US Congressman, Isaac Bacharach.  Betty served as President of the Sisterhood of Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel, Elkins Park, and District Chair of the Girl Scouts of Montgomery County.  She graduated from Atlantic City High School and attended Miss Illman's School, which later became part of the University of Pennsylvania College of Education. She was employed by the Internal Revenue Service.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the donor's choice, or to the Upper Merion Township Library, 175 West Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
