Idolatry & the Bible: Good Kings vs Bad Kings

January 8, 2014 10:00 AM

Barry Stein of Old York Road Temple - Beth AM will present his twice delayed program entitled, “Idolatry & the Bible:  Good Kings vs Bad Kings.” The Bible is filled with examples of the Israelites straying to worship idols.  The Kings of Israel and Judah were judged on the basis of their tolerance for idol worship.  We’ll study the meanings of idolatry, examples of it, its consequences, and some provocative recent theories of who judged the Kings (and the Israelites), God or man.
