Get your skin glowing this summer with a fruit, yogurt and honey skin-care application created by Christopher Watt, a Hollywood aesthetician to celebrities such as Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez, as a whimsical way to introduce honey as a soothing applicant.

Because honey has enzymes, vitamins and other minerals that are beneficial to the skin, Watt recommends using it as part of a regular beauty regimen. Just add a tablespoon or two to your favorite mask, or apply honey directly to the skin.

To minimize honey's natural stickiness, Watt suggests first applying it to damp skin, and then rinsing off with a warm -- or even hot -- face cloth.

As a humectant, honey draws moisture into the skin, making it a good choice for dry-skin sufferers. It also has antimicrobial properties that inhibit the growth of bacteria and help thwart acne flare-ups.

Watt's three-ingredient summer skin-care application is easy to make at home. Fruit, yogurt and honey can all be found at a local grocery store, and clean-up time is minimal. Plus, you'll be treating yourself to celebrity-style beauty without having to pay Hollywood prices.

So what are you waiting for?

Grab a blender and begin to whip up one of these honey-infused "face smoothies." Your face will love you for it!

Honey-and-Banana Skin Treat
1 yellow banana
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt

Directions:

Peel the banana, and place in blender or food processor. Add honey and yogurt, and blend until smooth.

Using fingertips, apply the banana mask on clean skin. Let sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove with cool water and a damp cloth; these three steps should also be followed when completing the next two treatments.

Honey-and-Papaya Skin Treat
1/4 fresh papaya
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt

Directions:

Cut the papaya in half and remove the seeds. Cut in half again and remove skin. Place one-quarter of the papaya in blender or food processor. Add the honey and yogurt; blend until smooth.

Honey-and-Blueberry Skin Treat
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup plain yogurt

Directions:

Rinse blueberries, and place in blender or food processor. Add honey and yogurt; blend until smooth.
